WM Motor said on Wednesday its monthly new vehicle deliveries hit new highs of 5,027 units, leaping 66.6% from the previous year.
For the first 11 months of 2021, the startup delivered 39,095 vehicles (+96.4% YoY), resulting in 83,624 units of cumulative deliveries.
While announcing the highest-ever monthly delivery volume, WM Motor also closed a D2 round of funding with $152 million raised.
Freeman Shen, founder, chairman, and CEO of WM Motor, said the simultaneous achievements of the financing and record-high sales were greatly thanks to the recognition and support of users, employees, and the capital market. He added it took the company 8 months to deliver the first 10,000 vehicles, and the time was greatly shortened to only two months when fulfilling the eighth 10,000-unit deliveries.
WM Motor is dedicated to offering users zero-emission travelling experience through its all-electric vehicles like the EX5-Z and the W6. According to the startup's data, as of Nov 30, 2021, WM Motor's users had driven for over 2.1 billion kilometers, resulting in the reduction of 560,000-ton carbon dioxide emissions.
WM Motor launched its first sedan model, the M7, on Oct. 22, indicating that the Chinese EV startup formally began its two-pronged product deployment integrating both SUVs and cars. The M7 is expected for mass production and scale delivery in 2022.
